House May 30, 2007

I can’t believe that Cameron, Foreman AND Chase are now gone from House’s team. I know Foreman will be returning next season, but what about the other two? The show would just not be the same without the trio…they make everything interesting.

And, how exciting is it that Jesse Spencer (Chase) and Jennifer Morrison (Cameron) are engaged in real life?! They are one of my favorite tv couples, right after Jim and Pam of The Office, Amita and Charlie of Numb3rs, and the long gone Ross and Rachel of Friends. This summer sure will seem long concerning these plot lines, but I must say, it has been one of the better seasons finale-wise in that nothing terribly on-the-edge-of-your-seat has happened (except for, of course, Colby [Numb3rs] turning out to be a Chinese spy…quite unexpected).

a lost love May 16, 2007

i discovered the posting of a song tonight by the band that was formerly my favorite band (this day & age), but lost a member (the singer/songwriter/genius jeff) and became the reign of kindo. this day & age continues to be my favorite band, even though they’ve disbanded, and i am quite undecided about the new band (i like the word “band”). jeff martin left tdaa earlier this year, which i must say, devastated me and a few thousand other fans. and while these remaining guys have more talent than many people i’ve heard and seen (especially the drummer steve), i don’t know for sure if they will combine to form something that becomes my ‘favorite’ or if i’ll simply buy their album and listen to it occasionally for sentimental reasons.

as a serious lover of music, i’ve always been on the look out for that group or individual that brings the notes on the page to life in a way that leaves me breathless and euphoric…giggling even. of all the musical loves i’ve had, only this day & age has ever done all that for me, not once but over and over again. and while i’m ecstatic to have found those perfect musicians to fill the silence in my car and home, i’m crushed knowing my experience of them is now limited. i will never see them live again, performing the songs that have become the soundtrack of my life.

the reign of kindo has taken on its own feeling, its own sound. i’m eager for the new tunes, but not terribly hopeful that i will find those perfect notes/lyrics/feelings assaulting me again. this is a sad realization.

So I finally have a few pictures of my adorable kitten for your viewing pleasure. 🙂 The first two are her at 7 weeks. The second two are her at 5 weeks, right when I got her. She’s now 10 weeks and growing like a weed! 🙂

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Nicholas Cage and Bridget Fonda are an absolutely charming couple and I smile through most of the story every time I watch it. Charlie (Nic) is a police officer that promises Yvonne (Bridget), a waitress, he will split his possible lottery winnings with her as a tip. Little did any of them know he would win 4 million dollars.

…a safe place to fall when this heart can take no more.

“The Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from the evil one.” – 2 Thess. 3:3
“For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!” – Is. 64:4

be my Warrior. be my Shield. be my Strength.

You come with great power and rescue me.
You listen to my prayer, pay attention to my plea.
He’s attacking me;
he’s trying to kill me.
He cares nothing for You.
But You’re my Helper!
The Lord alone keeps me alive.
I love You, oh my great Strength.
